The 50th anniversary PCA Kingaroy Peanut Festival will be held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy on Saturday 12th September 2009 from 9:30am to 6:00pm.

This year's Festival highlights include a giant Street Parade through the heart of the Showgrounds; an aerial Ping Pong Ball drop across the grounds with heaps of great prizes; helicopter joy flights (a big hit in 2008!); a giant open-air market area with more than 50 food, goods, trades and information stands; amusement rides and laser skirmish games; and a fully licensed bar.

There'll also be all day arm-wrestling competitions (another big hit in 2008!); the Guinness World Record Peanut Thresher Pull and the brand new Australian Peanut Tossing championships;  the Harvey Norman / SQIT Great BBQ Cook-Off (another 2009 innovation); big displays of cars, bikes and vintage farm machinery; colouring in and Poster Art displays; and an all-day entertainment programme on both the main stage and through the grounds including zany street theatre by the South Burnett Musical Comedy Society and performances by rising country music star Lance Friend and his band.
