PCA Kingaroy Peanut Festival and Queensland Strong Man Games
Driving Here?
It's Really Easy!

If you live in Brisbane, Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast, Gympie or the North Burnett - even the Gold Coast - the Kingaroy Peanut Festival is easy to get to!

The South Burnett is serviced by four highways - the D'Aguilar, Bunya, Burnett and Wide Bay - and we're only a pleasant 2 to 3 hour drive from just about anywhere in South East Queensland (see map at right)

If you're visiting from:
  • The southern or western part of Brisbane or the Gold Coast, the easiest route is through Ipswich and Esk via the Brisbane Valley Highway.
  • The north side of Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, the easiest route is on the D'Aguilar Highway via Caboolture and Kilcoy.
  • Toowoomba and Darling Downs residents can travel along the New England Highway to Yarraman where it joins the D'Aguilar Highway, then turn left and pass through Nanango; or on the Bunya Highway via Dalby through Bell and Kumbia.
  • If you visit us from the Gympie region or many parts of Wide Bay, the Wide Bay Highway via Gympie, Kilkivan and Goomeri will be the easiest route.
  • And if you live in the North Burnett, we're sure you already know the many easy ways to get here anyway!

Getting To The
Peanut Festival

The Kingaroy Peanut Festival is held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds. These are located at 31 Youngman Street in Kingaroy, right on the Bunya Highway (see map at right).

There's plenty of parking both at the Showgrounds and in nearby streets.

In addition, the area around the Showgrounds (like most of central Kingaroy) is almost perfectly flat. This makes access particularly easy for young children, the elderly and anyone with a disability.

Tour coaches will also find parking near the Festival very easy. And if you're thinking about coming by bus yourself, you can find the latest fares and timetables on the Brisbane Bus Lines web site (the Kingaroy bus station is only a few blocks away from the Showgrounds in Glendon Street).
