UPDATE: 2010 Kingaroy Peanut Festival
January 1, 2010 - From 2009, it has been decided that the Kingaroy Peanut Festival will become a biannual event - like many other major town festivals in Queensland.

This means there will be NO festival held in 2010.

But don't worry, we'll be back bigger and better than ever in 2011 with lots of new nutty ways to have fun.

Firies Are Hot Stuff!
September 10, 2009 - Two of Queensland's hottest firemen, calendar stars Dale, (right), and Bruce, will be making guest appearances at the Kingaroy Peanut Festival on Saturday.

The firies have already raised more than $600,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital Burns Unit in Brisbane through their calendar sales and hope to raise a few extra dollars during their visit to Kingaroy.

The pin-up stars have been lured to town by The Peanut Van's Rob Patch who struck up a friendship while both had stalls at this year's Ekka.

The firemen are also intrigued with the concept of the Peanut Thresher pull and will be gathering tips in a bid to enter a full-scale team next year.
Every Ball Wins A Prize!
September 9, 2009 - That's the promise for the return of a Kingaroy favourite ... the Great Ping Pong Ball Drop.

Sponsored by First Avenue Machinery and Redland Farm and Garden, the 2009 Great Ping Pong Ball Drop will occur just after the end of the Parade at the Kingaroy Showgrounds.

Toni Park, (right), and the rest of her family have been busy marking up 500 ping pong balls and collecting the prizes in the lead-up to the big day.

If you're lucky enough to catch a ping pong ball on Saturday morning, take it to the Organisers Tent before 2pm to exchange it for your prize.

While working hard for the Peanut Festival and Redland Farm and Garden, somehow Toni Park managed to squeeze in having a baby ... young Charlie, (top right), doesn't seem all that fussed by all the excitement of his first Peanut Festival!
